Flourishing in sun or partial shade, the diminutive, pearl-like flowers are traditionally an important part of spring wedding bouquets. Lily-of-the-valley is an excellent groundcover plant for damp, humus-rich places of the garden, quickly spreading to form a perfumed carpet of clean white, bell-shaped flowers and dark green foliage.
