They need a pale, fairly warm spot - a bright sitting room is ideal. Phalaenopsis are the most free flowering of orchids and extremely easy to look after. The striking flowers are white, 8cm across, with yellow-tinted, sometimes purple-red lips and produced all year round.
Location: good pale but with some shade from direct sun.
Soil Type: specialist orchid compost. Water: water with care. Keep compost damp, reducing the watering in winter. Use soft, tepid water. Humidity: mist foliage occasionally.
